Shri Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Barshi has started Department of Computer Science in the year ‘June 2004’ that aims at providing quality education in Computer Science. The college started Bachelor of Computer Science (B.Sc. (Computer Science)) course from June 2004 under the affiliation of Punyashlok ahilyadevi holakar solapur university,solapur. Apart from teaching, the faculty of the department involved in consultancy and development programs. The support structure of the department provides all the required non-academic support to the students and the faculty. The Department of Computer Science takes care to ensure that the basic scientific principles of Computer Science are presented to the student and actively tries to point out the differences between the Computation as a science and software. To provide high-quality education and training in computer science to students at various levels, including undergraduate, graduate, programs, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for successful careers in the field.
