SERVICES AND PRACTICES

Our Yashwantrao Chavan Central library is continuing to revolve and is new technologies to expand their presence as vertical knowledge centres for information sharing communities. The library is resource centre for teaching, learning and research and also it is housed in a very spacious and well lighted building.

• Membership in INFLIBNET - NLIST programme to give access to more than 6000 + journals & 13500 + e-books is provided.
• Implementation of CCTV technology in the library for security.
• Digital attendance software helps for students & staff for their regular attendance in digital form. In & out time is shown by the software.
• Establishment of Network Resource Centre for students of the college.
• Inter Library Loan System extended to colleges and Recognized Institutions.
• Orientation for Library use to new students enrolled in various Departments of the college.
• Open access for P.G. & Ph.D. students.
• Lists of prominent books added to the library are circulated to concerned Departments of the college.
• Facility in Reading room.
• Installation of Braille System for Blind students
• Introduction of Barcode Library Entry Management System
• We extend the OPAC facility to the users. OPAC (Online public access catalogue) of e- Granathalaya 3.0 software is a powerful search engine for the retrieval of any cataloguing information from bibliographic database on-line. The search options includes title, author, subject, class number, ISBN, publisher, accession number.
• Photocopying (Xerox) machines in the library which are used for making photo copies of educational material. This facility is also available for copying question papers, certificates etc. on reasonable rates.
