Brief History of the Department:
The department of Hindi at SSMB was established in 1960 with an ambition to pursue high level teaching methodologies. Presently, the department runs three year undergraduate program [B.A.. (HINDI)], two year Post-graduate program [M.A. (HINDI)] and [Ph.D. (HINDI)]. Our research spans Katha Sahitya, Prayojanmulak Hindi, Bhashavidyan, etc.
In addition, the faculty of department submit minor research project to various funding agencies every academic year. So far, three minor research projects have been successfully completed and one project is going on.
