Department Of Sanskrit

The Sanskrit Department at Shri Shivaji Mahavidyalaya was established in 1963 and currently offers two programs: B.A. I and B.A. II. The department is supported by a temporary CHB faculty member. A MoU has been signed with Ambika Yog Kutir, Thane (Barshi branch), enabling the department to offer a certified Yoga course as part of a joint initiative. Over the years, the department has organized several workshops for students to enhance their learning experience. Faculty members actively contribute to various committees, including serving as members of the Board of Studies (BOS) at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University. Students of the department participate enthusiastically in co-curricular activities such as Traditional Day, Shivyug celebrations, and the Literature Association.
